Here's a few shots of Nathan Quinns car, post accident.
Taken on My phone, so not the best quality.
They should consider Themselves very lucky, it could've been a lot worse.

Dan, your photos are amazing! so sharp and more jumps than I saw all weekend, thanks for sharing.
Nice videos too, funny that the two photographers just watch the top ten cars and don't appear to take a single shot? I didn't realise they let spectators so close!
Quinn looks like he escaped a serious accident, what stage was this on?

stage 34, 2.5 km from end.
car was in front wheel drive only (diff and driveshafts removed at Kyogles service). RH front wheel came off on 6 left. you have seen the result.
quite lucky and a testament to the car's strength, especially the cage. nathan suggested that the winged seats also played a big part in their saftey. neither dave or nathan were injured nor were they sore the next day.
thank god for that.

Martin, thanks I didn't recognise that stage. Upper Clarence is one of the only stages we didn't do photo recce on as access wasn't easy.
We were waiting for Nathan to appear on S35 Repco/toonumbar and had wondered what had happened. Last stage we photographed was SS30 Ctek West/hillyards and the car had a small wound on the right rear.
Good to hear Nathan and Dave walked away without an injury.
Our plan to shoot the aussie drivers all day at SS6/11 Byrrill fell through, and looking at the photos we did capture we don't have a lot. A lot of the second half of the field is out of focus due to the heavy dust on some stages, even stages such as Repco which run along the top of the ridge suffered from heavy dust that refused to clear!

Hi MSP, thank you for the comments. All the jumps are from shake down and the only ones that I know of. The rally didn't have much to offer in that regard, otherwise all good.
In the videos, I'm actually one of the photographers and believe me I did take all the shots. It's just that by the time the video pans towards me, I'm turned around so that I don't cop any rocks in my lens Reason why I could stand so close is 'cos I'm wearing a tabard
Cheers Handbrake Dan

Dan, thanks i really missed a lot from shakedown!!! I was printing WRC banners, and thought that the public would have zero access so didn't bother attending.
Haha, I was thinking that was the case after I posted the comment ;_) I had hired gear, so i was taking even precaution to avoid damage by flying rocks too.

Shakedown was fantastic, they even let my wife and kids in with no hassle at all. I was shocked.
