Wink ? Dodgy Fuel
Interested in comments about 98 stuff.
The guy near Forestech who sold 98 showed me certificate of rating done 3 week prior to event, someone had complained (he think opposition) about his fuel. Stuff tested had been in tanks for 6 weeks, doesn't do a big turnover, and came up as 98.1! So he's pretty confident his new stuff would be okay.
Mobil on the Hwy had a big upgrade which finished about 9 months ago all new tanks etc. They did run out of 98 on Sunday so perhaps you got the bottom of the tank? Be surprised though as yours are the first complaints I've heard of? you wouldn't have melted no 4 just because you rev the **** out of it? No we just make sure we give dodgy fuel to you people over the border, that way you go slower! LOL:

I bought some 98 from lovely old couple at the servo up near Forestech, and have nothing to complain about, FWIW.
If your ears aren't good enough to hear pinging, then don't tune it on the razor's edge!

Oh dear, that video is embarassing.
My abysmal approach speed is a combination of a rubbish tripmeter, incorrect memory of the road from last time, and general rustiness.

At least you can hear how badly it falls off song on the gearchanges.
