aftre some amazing work from wayne, simone, andy crane and crew, claude, ryan and everyone we got the car back out in the 'airflow' evolution.. only for electrical gremlins to attack on the first sunday stage
highlight was simply the night stages with no windows.. and 160kph
she will be rebuilt a new roof and panels are being located asap

The rule was deliberately not applied to the start of the Saturday night tarmac stage although only one car, a certain ute , got it right
Unfortunately the rally video crew left just prior to them taking off

Spac, Ive got HEAPS of photos of the other end of the field, Im trying to get them all on photobucket at the moment, but its taking a little longer than what I thought, plus now busy getting Lisi all ready to do Classic Adelaide.
As for an event report, well, I had a ball, thats really all i can say, great friends and great company, thanks guys. I must thank uncle Chris for taking time off and driving us over. I think Lisi is allready booked in for 2011, but we are hoping that the car building will start next week on that one.

We've got some highlight packages etc on Pure Motorsport. There is heaps of interviews, in car and highlights. Our editor is currently in Melbourne, and when he returns there will be some more great interviews.
I'm currently uploading in car as we speak, should be up shortly. Enjoy!

well, TBH, if I was videoing, I'd turn the camera off after the 240K had been through. is there anything else worth videoing after that?
surprised to see a car with cigarette advertising on it. is there an exemption for classics?

Spac
I got everyone who came through SS7 on Saturday and I got most of the field on the last stage as well as half way through the field on some of the others spots. Two camera set up on some of the dusty corners.

I'll do a bit of a report later but I do have to thank a few people for getting me there and keeping me in the game.
There are in more particular order:
Heimo Ruuskanen. The flying Finn put in the hard yards to get the car ready in the lead up when I my back went pop and I could hardly walk let along bend over to work on the car. Without his help physically and financially I doubt that I would of been there. Nothing was to hard for this man.
Marc Kelly. Always on the ball in the car. Theres never a dull moment around Tort. And like Heimo he too put his hand in his pocket to get me to and though the event. His organisation of the team had every one organised and made life easy for everyone. He knew where we were at stage time wise at every point and he knew what we needed to do to knock off the people in front. His Iphone skillz are beyond reproach. Especially when he pulls it out mid stage and works out your average speed for the last 7kms or starts taking video.
Munyard and Mick. Along with Heimo were the service team. I wouldn't swap this team for anyone. There isn't a problem they cant fix, there isn't food they cant cook and there isn't a beer they cant drink. I believe I have the only electric bike chase car in world rally. And cheers Mark for the offer of the loan. I didn't need it in the end but its nice to know your mates are there for you which helps the "how am i going to pay for this?" stress levels away.
All the Canberra Orange roughy crews. This multi day rallys wouldn't be the same without the good times.
The Big Lobowski for booking the digs when he had a lot of other better things to do. Thanks Matt, ill buy you a beer.
My good old mum. She lives at Orbost and has a big shed. Fro and I serviced there at the meal break. Its nice to have a shower and porter house steak mid rally. She feed and looked after quite a few of us on the Saturday and nothing was to hard. She even acted as a gravel crew and went up to Buchan for me mid week to look at the condition of the tar. Top effect.
All the Alpine organisers and volunteers. The event would hurt your head to organize. Cheers to all
My wife Cherie. We got back from a 3 month round Australia honeymoon mid September and with zero cash in the bank. Her understanding in getting to this event when we really should of been using the our money to pay the bills was awesome. I wont be rallying any time soon but its nice to know there supports there when I do.
bring on 2011
