Gees that Green Datto doesn't look very Historic with a big intercooler sticking out the front. Nice pics too.

Trust me... they are heaps more fun with a turbo! Looking forward to AMSAG Open- Kuhner, King x 2 (or 3), Skeffo, Cookie, Flint etc all boosted up and RWD.
Think of it as the opposite to the Excel Series.

Thanks to Grant, Sheyron and all the other CNCSCC volunteers on the day, and to the guys who put the time into the track. The forecast rain didn't happen, and another great day was had by most. Congratulations to Chris and Damo; just too good again.
Cheers,
Leigh

You sure did!
Your attack attitude at the FF on the reverse run had to be seen to be belived.
I thought we were at the boat races with the sound that thing makes!

That is the way it used to happen.

Yes, well done to all the organisers, I had not been to Nabiac at all last year, so was very impressed by your new clubhouse!!
Despite an issue with a disconnected gear selector (leaving us with what could only be described as a wooden spoon in a bucket of custard) in the second forward direction run, we had an awesome day.
The Lancia is turning out to be an absolute joy to drive!! I went away a very happy man.... and thanks for all the encouraging comments about the car too!

Had a cool day, sat in with Rob Brawn in his EVO111. He kept telling me all day he wishes he could of had enough money to have done this before he had reached his sixties...
After some encouragement & a few minor tips from my limited knowledge he managed to improve by a bit over 2.5 secs/km through out the day.
Great day, good event & a very nice car to sit in.
Congrats to Giddo & Damo, top drive. Good to see after such along time with this car The boys are playing with the suspension setup & finding more speed.

Wayne there were 30 entries. See list in the other thread on Australian Rallying Discussion.
What a top event! Venue and organisation great. Thanks guys.
Apologies to anyone following me and Nigel - fuel injection problems meant they would have been eating our dust in the reverse direction runs.
Some very nicely presented cars up there. That Lancia is pretty special and the RX8.

Lancia
Thanks for the compliment MickeyRourke,
I'd like to strap Jeremy Clarkson in the LH Seat and take him for a spin after he "bagged" the poor old Beta Coop AGAIN in the Tuesday night Lancia Special episode of TopGear. They seem to forget that the car was in production for 11 years from '73-'84, and yes the first series were appaling for rust, but after a change of steel supplier, and a vast improvement in rustproofing technology, the last series was a much improved car. Mine is actually an '83 model, logbooked as a '74 "works" replica under the model run-on principle. Here's some more pic's taken by Mark Turon at the event.
