Appliance Installations Stages - Media day
The countdown to the rally is well and truly on!
Thanks to all the drivers and officials who came out today help.
Everyone I spoke to had a great time - big smiles from the Media people who made it out there.
Matt Harriott and Adrian Coppin did a great job organising the Media - and the static dispay at the Canberra Centre this coming week.
The ACT Liberal Leader, Zed Seselja came out with his son for a look. Michael Barrett took him for a run. Zed thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
Thanks to Steve for the BBQ, and PJ and James for the esky.
Most cars came through unscathed. The only damage - one tyre off PJ's ute.
Thaks again to everyone who came out.
Marty

Had fun, brought Rays car home in one piece. all good.
There were lots of cameras out there, may sure you post/pass on any good shots so we can forward them to the sponsors and show some value for money.
I know my customers that got a ride were impressed with all the cars and how smoothly the event ran, some were even shocked by the pace of the charade
All in all a good day, my thanks too to all the organisers, officials, sponsors(Appliance Installations, Aussie Farmers Direct, Kennards, Nuemanns, and Autotech as series sponsor) mechanics and drivers that helped make the day happen.

Thanks to all involved in running the day. It's always good to take a few people for a ride and introduce them to the sport.
Hope the rest of the event runs just as smoothly, and I'm sure it will.

Fun day. I dragged the VR4 down to use the day as a bit of a test after all the brake dramas I had at Natcap. Long way to come but worth it.
HUGE thankyou to Shane and Mark and Penrith Brake and Clutch. Shane came down and had a run with me and we hardly touched a thing. Beautiful.
Took four people for runs. One poor girl didn't look comfortable in there so I took it a bit easy on her, didn't help when Kirralee suggested that I wasn't the best person to get in with if you were uneasy about it.... but all the rest were keen for whatever I could throw at them.
Thanks all.

Photos: Appliance Installations stages - media day
I took over 1000 photos of the media day - naturally not all worked out, but some nice ones on the second corner and some interesting ones of peoples faces as they returned from each run. I've loaded a sample of 80 odd photos onto my website. Happy to share other photos, let me know by PM if you would like to see more of any particular car.
enjoy!

Just wanted to add my thanks to all the organisers, volunteers and sponsors for the day. Had my first ride on the dirt in anger - too awesome. No wonder my wife is hopelessly addicted.
Hillclimbing is going to seem very tame from here on in...
I'll be out on SS4 on Sat doing a road closure watching you all go by - I'll only be a wee bit jealous. Like a whale is a wee little fish...
