I like spectator points, I always have plenty of time to look and wave.

There was plenty of time for any overshoot to be corrected and the car to be put back on the road, or even rolled into a ball, before any spectator would be in any danger. The only matter in question, is the actions of the people involved. All spectator boundaries were, (in my opinion), perfectly safe.
And I also loved the treatment that we received from the organisers. My Tiny teddy's were perfect...
I would be more then happy to help out Ric and crew again at any event.

PS: Scott this does not mean I am giving you the clap, I am simply applauding what you have said.

It's not the quantity of meat that is the problem. Its more the fact that it goes off too fast...

I think she'd be more worried about you getting the clap from rob!!!
Unfortunately it doesn't have the "up the nose and away it goes" solution like the other issue.

Hate sound smart about it but there were many people there who complained about what happened, none of which to my knowledge felt they had been placed in an unsafe spot. It has been said over and over, the appropriate people are investigating so let nature take it's course, then go for gold.

Thanks for clearing that up Rob. I have been unable to get out of work early enough to go over & watch some video footage taken by a spectator at that particular speccie spot so didn't have a clear idea what really happened. You know what its like plenty of different stories & opinions circulating up here, good to know the truth. Thanks again.

Sounds to me like you're the lucky winner John. That's one of the Great Tiny Teddies of History - specifically, the Jack Newton Teddy.
I once had a Vincent Van Gogh Teddy.
I'd like to echo everyone else's comments on what a pleasure it was to be an official at Lithgow. I don't to it for a free shirt or a lunch pack, but they are nice. And it's more likely I'll be back as I wasn't dicked around. Well done to all.
Ric. Don't feed the trolls.

You put it up so I could see where you overtook me...
I watched the incar back to back. You had 4 secs on me when we turned onto the airstrip... I actually drew back to about a second behind you after the speccy point and then the last K or so you smoked me downhill.... beat me by 6.
Killed me in the last K.... it's not good viewing. I dogged it in comparison.

That is enough. I think this part of the conversation is over.
I will be removing the speculative parts surrounding the incident, so there is no point in posting any more about it. Let due process take it's course, and we can discuss the outcome at that time.
Back on topic. Anyone else have an event report?
