So I went there this morning...left at 6am...promptly returned by 930am with a thrown rod before even turning a wheel on the track.
I saw Rowdy, Spac, Tweety and Bede up there...what was the results?

results should be on natsoft. Chris Hellessey came 1st in svd and outright with a low 1:10, i was 1.4sec behind. Had an awesome day, few issues meant we only got 3ish competititive sessions each, but no real damage apart from 2 bent rims. Big thanks to Andrew and the crew!

shame you didn't make it out there Matt. was a great day- run like a dream by AJ and the Crew.
We got 7 runs of 4 flyers in, with spac and I double entered in the 808 1400 cc of powah!!!! - aside from one minor excursion on my part, a stripped wheel nut, and the generally speacial handling of the 808, it ran like a dream all day, and I pulled a 1:22.55 in the second last session but I should have gone close to bettering that in the final run- haven't seen the results yet!
Bede was trying to get a 1:13 out of Jens RX-7.... not sure how that ended up in the final wash up.
was great to catch up with everyone- Bede, Jen, Spac, Anna, Lizzy, Gaz, Hoonboy, Glen Inkster, Phil etc!
many, many thanks to Spac for letting me thrash the living piss out of the 808 all day!

Was looking for the rev point - no tacho means that you've gotta focus on the bouncing speedo needle. No power means that you've got tons of time to do this on the straight.
Top fun day. Apart from faffing about in my road Volvo earlier in the year at Marulan, this is my first trip to a track in (literally) ten years.
The 244 race car mysteriously decided to not start yesterday, so I dragged the 808 out for its first outing since the tarmac motorkhana 5+ years ago.
After some storage-induced issues were sorted, it ran great all day. Its handling is "interesting" on the track (despite being quite good on the road) - on the track it lifts wheels and wallows and generally doesn't inspire confidence. The brakes are also pooh - no feel and not a lot of stopping power anyhow.
I, on the other hand, sucked all day. My instincts were all screaming to do one thing (drive it like a rally car), while my brain was insisting on trying to remember how to actually drive around a track 'properly'. Instead, I managed Slow.
Rowdy had literally never driven the car before his first lap, and it still took me three sessions to better his first lap... I am so ashamed.
At one stage, his best time was over 6 seconds better than my best... I got it down to ~4.5 seconds at the end of the day, which is still tragic. A couple of those seconds can be attributed to the "it's a rental" factor, but the rest is just me needing to man up a whole lot.
Anyhow, TOP EVENT, and a real credit to everyone involved. This is how club motorsport should be run: No egos, no bullsh, no pettiness, just getting people to enjoy themselves with their cars.

Results
Hi guys,
The results are now up on the Natsoft website:
NATSOFT Race Result
Will sort out a list of trophy winners soon after I've caught up on some sleep. Thankyou everyone who came along - hardworking officials and smiling competitors made it a top day.

First of all, a massive congratulations to Andrew and the rest of the Thornleigh Car Club organisers on an absolutely fantastic event! I cannot recommend this event enough. It is well run, awesome value for money and an all-round great fun day.
Highlights; - Jenny knocking 2s off her time in the same car from last year’s TCC Supersprint!
- Rowdy beating Spac by over 4 seconds!
- Datsuns filling 4 of the top 6 places on the day including the fastest time of the day by Chris Hellessey in the Green FJ20 Turbo Datsun 1600.
- The silver Datsun 260Z - Fantastic looking car!
A few BIG thankyous are in order; - Jenny – Thanks for the opportunity to drive your very cool, bright orange, second generation Mazda RX-7. I think we have got it working pretty well around the track now.
- Andrew Crowley – Top event mate! Well done on your second go at being event director for the TCC Supersprint. A great value, extremely well run, no stress event!
- Flag marshals, scrutineers, scorers, and other officials – without you guys we would not get to have fun days like this. Thank you for your generosity.
- My Family – Dad, Joh & Simon thanks for all your help and support on the day.
- Renée – My beautiful wife, thank you for being so understanding about my time consuming motor vehicle related habits.

Isn't there generally a site photographer out there.
Last time I was there, I bought a CD from them with every photo they took of the car, plus some others.
Depends what you think is value for money.
With the retune on the car, would love to come back and run with some semi slicks on the thing.
Could only manage 1:14 with rally rubber
