2010 George Derrick Memorial Rally

Well, the event is happening on the 17th July, in Avcoa (Northwest of Melbourne).

An excellent course exist, with a mix of shire roads, forest roads, both of which have some tight twisty stuff & fast flowing sections.

Firstly a massive thank you to the 60+ VOLUNTEERS that are already currently assigned to various roles in this event - you will be receiving detailed information by Monday night.

As of 15:25 this afternoon though, the 2010 George Derrick Memorial Rally is
short 30 Road closure officials.

Plain and simple, with out these officials, the stages won't run.

8 required with meet time @ 1020 and finished no later than 2130
10 required with meet time @ 1020 and finished no later than 2330
8 required with meet time @1120 and finished no later than 2230
1 required with meet time @ 1515 and finsihed no later than 2000
1 required with meet time @ 1530 and finished no later than 2130
2 required with meet time @ 1730 and finished no later than 2330

First in, first servered.

With just under 80 competitors, it will be a great field. We just need the
Volunteers to make this event happen.

The Event will commence and finish in Avoca, with the post event social function and a champagne presentation to the provisional winners.

With a number of accommodation venues within a short distance of the Event start/finish/headquarters we recommend reviewing Avoca Community Website - Home or Pyrenees Shire Council Home Page for a list of place you can stay and enjoy a great weekend in the Pyrenees.

The event would like to acknowledge and thank all the people and organisations that have contributed to making the rally possible, including the Pyrenees Shire, Avoca Police, Avoca CFA, Regional Ambulance services, the Department of Sustainability & Environment, and the many volunteers from inside and outside Car Club RMIT who are giving up their time to allow this event to happen.
