typical rally qld, hard days rallying.
simon and atko going like stink.
atko had problem, stopped in stage .... car is back in for tomorrow.
smart dropped 2 min with flat this morning, then fight back to 4th.
mark pedder quick all day.
dowel quick as well.
raymo top run in aprc ... on kumho ... in front of reeves on pirelli.
quinn broke drivetrain of some kind.
knowles stopped with electrical issue.
shepheard last 4 stages with no clutch due to broken throw out bearing.
due to aprc and also ARC endurance rules for rally qld, once you go over late time (30 min for whole event) or miss a stage and rejoin, you get no event or champ points at all.... got to be there sun arvo, and do every stage to get the reward
beauitful 24 deg, warm sunny winters day.
im told a good crowd at 8am at speactator park, then big one this arvo.

Why would Raymo be on Kumhos when he's going for pirelli star driver???
Reeves got puncture on SS6 by the looks of it.
Come on Brendo...

long story short..... prirelli star driver regs have changed for next year, and have lowered the age by 1 year.... so raymo is now too old and not elligable.
everyone is guttered for him.
but you dont have to be running pirellli to be elligable.
quinny running kumho as well... playing both pirelli and ARC points i gather.
i think he is back in tomorrow.

The Speccie point for SS8 was interesting.
The classics put on some big slides, as expected.
Then APRC was due to come through, was disappointed to see Ed, driving 0, have to stop and then proceed slowly through the specator area.
The MRF Lancer find a nice way to cut the left hander hairpin, Paul got a good photo of it. Then a massive gap, almost 10mins before we saw a train of cars. Due to Chris getting stuck blocking the road, every one transported through, although the guys did still put on a show at the spectator point. It looked more like rally cross then rallying. Some even still throwing a scando into the hairpin, even though the cars were nose to tail.
Glad I did the drive up to Imbill, I got the rally fix I was in need of.
As for the i30, if thats then future of Rallying then I am upset, my slotcars make more noise then that car. It sounded like it was running on Duracells.

Perhaps it's time for a quick whip around, raise some peso's and buy Mr. Evans a one way ticket to Europe.
Buggered if I could show up knowing that I would be up against that.
Brighter note that Boaden kiddie is doing alright, massing a few points

Thanks
Thanks to everyone at Rally QLD for your words of support, they were greatly appreciated; from the competitors to the officials, you all know who you are.
A big thank you to the Shepheard Team for making me feel truly welcome an amazing wonderful family.
Thanks again to all and I will let you know the outcome, but as you can see in the 'cars for sale' section it's not looking to good.
Cheers
Craig Jones

We waved to Atko as we went past him. He didn't wave back though.

Shhh! Don't tell anyone! It's not nicknamed the pedestrian killer for nothing, you know!
We are hoping for some sponsorship from Mr Whippy next year, so that we can play Greensleaves out the windows through the forests - at least everyone will know the car is on it's way!
