I went back and played it over and over and I think he had the right lock on for the next corner. THe grassy knoll obscures the landing so it is hard to tell whether something broke on landing but the car certainly spears straight ahead in a way which looks inconsistent with the lock he had on. He knows that corner well so it will be interesting to see if anything mechanical emerges in the washup.

Then again he might just haven been going a bit too fast....

On the WRC coverage you can see/hear the co-driver chatting on the phone about broken steering, though Mikko didn't mention anything about it when being interviewed later in the service park.
I thought exactly the same as Haggers. Could be a bit too much speed and a hard landing and it broke something, but certainly looks like steering, hard to tell after the cars hit the bank, but both front wheels are looking in different directions even as it's spinning thru the air.
