CAMS Officials Training - July / August

The following Officials courses are taking place in July and August in NSW;

- 28/07/07 (Sat) - Circuit Official
This new course is for those going from a General Official to any of the following roles; Sector Marshals, Chief Marshals, Flag Marshals, Spectator Marshals, Judges / Starters, CRO, Communicators, Observers, Track Marshals, Pit Lane Marshals, Grid Marshals, Vehicle Recovery, Equipment Supply, Safety / Course Car Crews, Boundary Riders, Parc Ferme, Rader Gun Operators and Safety Officers. It combines the former licences (F, some J, O & U) into the one category.

- 28/07/07 (Sat) – Event Assessor
This new course is for those Bronze and higher Officials who need to or are required to assess other Officials in their relevant category.

- 29/07/07 (Sun) - Introductory
This course will be compulsory for those who want to go from a Trainee Level to a General Official Level.

- 29/07/07 (Sun) - Club Chief
This is a new club specific licence, with the aim of creating flexibility to clubs when running specific club and multi-club events. Therefore this course is for those people who will be able to take on any of the following roles;
o Clerk of Course / Event Director
o Any team leader role (excluding Chief Scrutineer)
o Chief steward (excluding club or multi-club race, rally or off road events)

- 04/08/07 (Sat) – Scrutiny
This course is for those General Officials who want to become a Bronze – Scrutineer.

- 04/08/07 (Sat) – Silver Module
This is the updated Grade 2 Generic course. It is for those officials who want to upgrade from a Bronze level to a Silver Officials Licence.

All the above courses are likely to be run at Eastern Creek (or Auburn RSL as an alternative).

Finally please note that dates have been set for training in both the ACT and Bathurst Regions. Please check out our NSW Officials Training Calendar under “OFFICIALS TRAINING CALENDAR – NEW” for these dates and courses. These courses will run depending on numbers so spread the word and please let Rachelle know ASAP if you are interested in attending.
