Trussme National Capital Rally 2007 - Preview
2007 Trussme National Capital Rally – 17th November
NSW State Rally Championship
Total Traction ACT Regional Rally Series
Race Brakes Excel Series
The top crews from all over NSW, as well as the very best ACT teams, will be making the trip to the nation’s capital, to contest the 2007 Trussme National Capital Rally; final round of the NSW Rally Championship, the Total Traction Services ACT Regional Rally Series, and the Excel Rally Series.
While the NSW Rally Championship has already been decided, with the Port Macquarie combination of Michael Boaden and Helen Cheers in an unassailable lead, this doesn’t mean the action will not be intense for outright honours. Crews will be driving flat-out to take the final round win of the year, and the bragging rights that goes along with the victory.
The battle for outright honours in the Traction Services ACT Regional Rally Series will be one of the major highlights of the event, with three drivers still in the championship hunt.
Bega’s Claude Murray (with the flying school teacher Lizzy Ferme in the co-drivers seat) was in scintillating form in his Datsun 1600 at the recent Corsa di Mille Pini event; winning the event, with daylight second.
That said, the Canberra crew of Richard Leitis and Rob Mules have been working around the clock to repair the Lancer EVO1, which left the road at high speed while leading the Corsa event, causing considerable damage.

Trevor Stilling, in his EVO5, is also a chance to claim the 2007 Gold Cup, provided he wins the event, and the other two drivers finish down the field.
Adrian Dudok, in his fifteenth year as Clerk of Course for the National Capital Rally, is confident that this year’s event will be as exciting as ever.
“I’m really looking forward to this year’s event” explained Adrian, “and I’m very happy that Trussme have shown the confidence to support this rally for the fourth year in a row.”
“We have selected the cream of ACT’s rally roads, and the public can expect to see some great rally action, with the best NSW and local crews battling it out.”
The 2007 Trussme National Capital Rally will commence at 11.30am from the Weston Club, and finish back at the Weston Club at 7.00pm, after nearly 170 kilometers of competitive stages.
