Caltex Airport Starmart 2005: Event Info

With the continued support of everyones favourite travel refuelling destination in Canberra, the Caltex Airport Starmart Rally is taking shape for 2005. Starting at 11:30 at the now well-loved start venue in Canberra, the event will skip the Kowen Forest this year, and head straight for the Lowden and Tallaganda forests.

Using very similar stages to the 2004 event, this year's rally will feature more repeated stages, with a central service park at the Captains Flat Sports Ground, right next to the event headquarters. Featuring three services, the stages will provide 120 kilometres of competitive action, with a single spectator point during Lowden I (Special Stage 2) and Lowden II (Special Stage 5).

The end-of-event festivities will be hosted at the Captains Flat Hotel, with strong rumours of pig-based product being available to satisfy hunger while the results are compiled. The current event schedule allows for the last vehicle to have completed the event by 9:30pm, allowing plenty of time for the telling of tales and embellishing adventures.

Supplementary Regulations are available at http://www.bmsc.com.au/files/event_d...rt2005regs.pdf, and further information will be provided at www.bmsc.com.au as it comes to hand.

The organisers look forward to seeing you at the event. For more information on this event, please contact Fro Horobin on 0428 972 481.
