There are two lots of results -
the Official Results and
the "Amended"
Results.
Under the re-start rule in the Supp Regs, a crew that didn't finish a stage, could be given the slowest time for that stage plus 5 seconds. Being an optimistic person, I asked the Scorers to put that time into the timesheet - as it would make our task a little easier when they re-joined.
The Penalty time was supposed to be deleted before the official results were printed. They weren't. This was my fault. This affected one car in the overall results.
Because the scorers gave a "penalty time" for the final stage to David Stephens, the Official results show that Simon Leigh was beaten by a car that didn't finish!
Congratulations to all the winners - commiserations to those that didn't finish.
