You thinking of taking it off-road, Kate? Haven't taken mine off road yet and it is clean because it keeps raining (not complaining!) but Forester FTW!
I haven't heard yay or nay either way about the Tribeca though.

I love my Subes, but damn that Tribeca is one ugly car. Narvara STX FTW

Liberty / Outback's much better and you dont have something that makes little children run screaming in fear. Tirbecas are just plain too heavy as well, same engine as a Liberty with 300 more kgs to lug.

Another Sube fan here but I just don't get the Tribeca.
I might be biased having an XT, but for an all round package they are very hard to beat. Some offroad capability, relatively good handling and oodles of power. A bit small in the rear if you have older kids or adults but then there is the Outback.

I've seen a couple of reviews and they both came back nay. I also know someone who took one for a test drive and he also said nay.
Apparently the handling is crap as are the seats so every time you go around a corner you (as in you in the car) slide around all over the place. It's also very ugly and I don't know about Canberra but I think I have only ever seen one on the road here in Sydney which can't be a good thing. If they are not popular now, imagine trying to trade one in or sell it second hand in a few years.......

You might like to wear leather but not if the only place that it is covering is your elbow, Kate!
