After finding no real rallying forum in perth, i have been reading the bmsc one for a while now, thought id get round to joining.

little things about me, go by Andy. Only been into rallying a few years after mostly seeing the softer side of tarmac and general circuit racing (I saw the light!) Started my apprenticeship years and years ago with a workshop here that at the time, really didnt have much to do with rallying. My boss bought an ae86 to turn into a rally car of his own, funnily enough i ended up buying that, and two more shell's (i spent the first few weeks as a 1st year stripping what was eventually my car!)

anyway. I did my first dirt driving about a year ago, did my first rally november last year. Since then ive experienced the highs, the lows...the creamy middles! eg, rollovers, expensive gearbox blow ups, and an engine rebuild before the car even got off stands

compete in the WA clubman championship in a car i build 99% myself...it took 3.5 years...and somehow i spent all that time making the most uncomfortable car to drive, but it is the most fun ive ever had

i drove the car 300km home like this

since then (feb) the car has been fixed, 4 weeks before the forest rally ...then after many many late nights, the gearbox blew (read, completely oblitherated) on ss2 ...

but its all good now, and driving better than ever, except i am not...i havent done any real pacenotes before. On the weekend in the experts cup in Collie, i placed 4th in clubman, 2nd rookie. Still about 3 minutes off the pace.

Hey Andy. Mmm... Collie... The gear selector decided to not play anymore and that was end of rally. I was really looking forward to the event after recce as it was going to be fast and the road condition was great. Oh well, out with the box again!

the car originally was abused by a drifter or two, it was a bloody rusty mess when i first got it!

that would be me, i really hate that forum these days, the admin went crazy with his rules about for sale and sponsor plugs..... it was all kids with no money, less of a clue. trying to hit the clipping point in their ke70 with zero suspension travel asking astromical prices for 25yr old wheels. I remember your car...have you got a 4ag in it yet?

I would be PB124's said son. Yea AE86DC is full of many interesting users. But anyway great to see you on here and that your car is still cracking along. How do you find the DMS suspension? You still planning to run anything interstate? should come down to SA for an event haha

im dreaming of going travelling over for an event or two, but atm im struggling to keep it together in my own state to run a season! the Drummond's are going fine, absolutely no issue with them, i havent driven any rally ae86's before mine, so i cant really comment if mine handles well or not...i seem to like it! they are due for their first rebuild soon however, but i can do that myself!
