Doug_T has some part of a clue
Hi from Perth

Hi all, Doug here. I found the BMSC while I was searching for some local (WA)rally results, so thought I'd join up and join in!
My first rally was the 1989 Darling 200 Clubman in a 1600. Then wrecked a few more 16's over the following years in rallies and autocross.
Inspired by Rally Aus in the early 90's I updated to a pretty good RX turbo that I ran for a number of years including Rally of Canberra 1995. It was bright yellow, had a decent 'Moly cage (in the day) Vortex AWD 'box and stuff. I then rallied a TE27 Corolla with 1850cc 2TG for a while to keep my hand in while building a Gen 1 Legacy RS that I still have today.
I've bought and sold a few other rally cars over the years but the trusty old Legacy remains. I've retired it to tarmac events only in the last 18 months or so.
I'm currently rallying a 1998 WRX Ra that a few may remember. It's Kawasaki green and was built by John 'Fats' Liddle for the 1998 ARC. It's done bugger all rallies since then, it's been in a corner of my workshop used as a workbench for a few years but I've finally got it ready for next year's WARC. I've upspec'd the trans to a 2006 6 speed with DCCD and have the R180 rear end in there now as well.
I gave it a shakedown recently and it feels great. I just need a navigator with some enthusiasm (and some $$$??) now.
