People are interested in rallying because of it's dynamics. Rallying is 'mad', the drivers are 'crazy' and there is an 'extreme' element which draws interest.
Sending young people to a motorkhana to feed their interest in rallying is like sending young, aspiring musicians to a Michael Bolton concert.
Just my opinion.

Thank you for your opinion, Jme. Yeah, that's what made me to come here: mad drivers, extreme condition, crazy terriain, massive crashes. But I think I will enjoy messing around with cars than sausage sandwiches. It's just me. Maybe you are right, I might lose interest but I will try to enjoy it with positive attitude.

Starting in motorkhanas and khanacrosses at 16/17 will get him a half-decent grounding in car control (albeit at relatively low speed). It will also allow him to get out there and compete while he has absolutely no chance of rallying (due to budget constraints, study, time etc).
If he comes back from his year overseas and gets a car, he can compete in his daily driver while studying (and the budget as a student is likely to allow this). He can then build/buy when time/$/location allow.

Are you reading my mind? That was what I was thinking. If I don't get myself into rallying in next few years I think I will go crazy I probably will just go back to drifting or lose my interest in motorsport.
Crashing? Lovely. As what you have said above I'm expecting myself to crash in my first rally event which I will enjoy it and hoping it will be minor accidents instead of some hard core x10 360s rolls and engine catching a fire.

Thanks for your kind greeting. I'm hoping myself to find good advices and info and get myself involved in rallying
