Team Toyota reborn !

Greetings to all from crossgenitixracing here in Brisbane !

My Son and I are embarking on a fun little concept of running a
'73 TA22 and a '77 RA28 at the QR dirt circuit and QR bitumen track,
as well as Lakeside.

Going way old school with the '73 powered either by a 2T + lumpy cam
and side draught Mikunis or 2TG/UE + of course the Mikunis or Webers.

The 28 has a rebuilt 18RGU in it so it should be a contender too in the
under 2L class.

Won't be rallying but will make a show n go and bring a tear or 2 to old
racers eyes we hope.

Both cars look like crap ATM but with some lovin' will be good to go !

Will try to do a build thread etc and pics etc to come as we progress.

So cheers for now and will cruise the forums and try to learn as much
as we can in as short time as possible.

Here's a current pic of a friends rally ' 72

Imagine the paint scheme reversed on our ' 73

The 28 may end up like this but Red

Oh.. And with White go fast stripes down the bonnet - heh heh

Old Skool cool - Ooh yeah !

Gordon - toyboyracer
Andrew - Scoobzd

As of Saturday the 73 is devoid of door and 1/4 glass + tracks,

all engine bay / dash loom and 12kg of the tar floor matting. That was fun ! (not)

Motor and box out Sunday and engine bay painted if the weather holds !

We're planning on it being ready for the March 14th meet

Arrow

We probably should be shot for turning the '73 into a race car - Here's why !

Minimal rust (as such) - Oh... And btw - This was a FREE CAR !!!

Need to lose weight ? - Ask us HOW !

Next on weight reduction will be the inner boot panel and door panels

Appropriate band steel cross bracing will be screwed on with Corflue trims.

AND the motor/box are now out

Mate that looks like allot of work to restore those two.
I wish you well.
I dropped out of my Gemini project just no time to do it.
Cheers Wayne

Each to their own, and stickers are lighter than bog.

Just ask Munyard and Brown.
