Better late than then never - Neil, (Adelaide)
Didn't do this when I first joined, so here goes now!
My name is Neil and live south of Adelaide.
I'm a navigator participating in tarmac rallying alongside a friend of mine in a Triumph TR7V8, (just like/prefer Classics over Moderns).
Got into rallying kinda by accident when I lucked upon the chance to be a navigator in Classic Adelaide alongside the same driver back in '07 in his XW Falcon, (but only doing the Thoroughbred class); which we did again in '08.
For 2009 we decided to move up to the full race category and as I had a TR7 sat in the shed doing nothing that became the weapon of choice; chucked out the 4cyl and in went a Rover V8, along with a lot of other work besides! Bent that one pretty badly in ASP Rally '09, but rebuilt it better and stronger ready for Classic 2009, in which we finished and won our class.
Since then have competed in, (and finished), Mt Buller Sprint '09 and ASP 2010.
Neil G.

Cheers Damian,
Next event, Targa H/C maybe, don't know yet, believe entries to be confirmed July time!? If not that, Mt Buller Sprint, if it runs this year, (due to THC!?)
Will post some pics when I'm home, at work at the mo!

Most jealous!
Remember seeing the cars in action when we used to go and watch stages of the RAC Rally as it was then called, always wanted one - now we have, kinda!
Unfortunately B Leyland decided were getting into rallying as Audi were starting to play with the Quattro and then along came all the other Group B cars - now they were fun to watch!

I think the Stratos in the welsh forests has to be the best memory. The sound was awesome to say the least.
Many hours spent in the dark in the varlies
Modern WRC is boring in comparison - they dont even rally through the night any more do they???? Soft

Yes, trek into the middle of a dark forest, mud everywhere, snowing, freezing cold, oh joy ...................... ! Then a Group B comes blasting by, exhaust roaring, wastegate squealing, with spot lights blinding you to make it all worth while.
Once took us over 2 hours to find our way out of the forest and back to where we'd parked!
Oh happy days ................................
