Hi all, i'm Sean.

I just joined up and came to the last meeting in canberra and met a couple of you. I'm completely new to rally and thinking of eventually driving or being a co-driver but the entry fee for the events seems a bit daunting at the moment (i was told around $350 average) so im wondering how i should go about getting a spot as a pit crew member for someone at the next suitable rally. thanks

Hey Sean. Hassle Fro. With the bay stages coming up. He's the rally contact to the stars. He'll find you a service gig to get your hands dirty. He was the ugly ****er in the i35 hat at the meeting

Thanks swill. yeah i remember haha. The other thing i was curious about was how you guys transport your cars. Do you get a trailer? or do you register them or get a special permit? i imagine it would be a rough trip to eden haha

Some are lucky enough to be able to drive their cars on the road depending on how heavily modified the car is. This is not a reflection on rego, just you don't really want to do 200 + k in a rally car on tar.

Most trailer their cars to events with their service vehicles / family wagon / motor-sport truck.

Most anybody would be appreciative of a helping hand at service. Hey you might even be bought a beer for your troubles.
Some people service for multiple cars.

In regards costs, some drivers pay for it all, others like to go half half. But, if you do hook up for a season, you may find you pay entry and your own accommodation costs if needed, and driver takes care of the car costs/transport etc.

are you referring to co-driving here? or is there an entry fee for service?
