Stanza rally car & Trailer
I may own this car but know very little about it. Have had the car for 9 months and managed to log book it in that time but little else. Car was previously owned by Darren (Bloody) and run by Erin at the Bay Starters in 06. I have not run the car at all, and it has not done an event since log booking.
Bolt in bond cage, with new padding
SAAS seats great condition
Two new harness, 3" four point
wired for terratrip 202 with wheel probe
New Terraphone intercom
wired for lights but has none.
New king springs
New monroe gas shocks
Ball joints and tie ords done
15 inch trx rims with rally tyres, with some spares
Dogleg 5 speed
Engine is standard L16 to my knowledge
Sump guard
Fire extinguishers and triangles
Trailer is ex Pete Ewing as built by him, single axle and light weight, has carryed cars as big as a shorty Pajero.
Neither is registered, fantastic starters package, not looking to seperate at this stage.
email or pm for pics or more info, I am a techo numpty and cant make the piccies work here.
$4500.00
give me call

Car in near Newcastle
Car has been garaged since I bought it, not even driven on sunny Sundays, I wont even let my Grandma have a go.

Too expensive?
Wrong colour?
Does it need Toyota badges?
No replies?

Hi Boris
this may be a two edged sword here but I have often wondered why they are not as popular as 1600's. Perhaps the datto technofiles could explain. Is it just the different rear end? or is there something more sinister afoot

Nothing sinister, I think people just prefer 1600's. There are actually a surprising number of Stanza's out there and a lot being built, just not as many as 1600's. Although 'classic' Stanza's seem to be increasing in popularity.
Live vs IRS rear is the biggest difference. Although you can fit a 2.4l L20 to a Stanza, that and a Stanza shell is a lot cheaper than a 1600 shell. Our Stanza is a fantastic car compared to our old RX3.

That statement says a lot Daveee. Not all (nor much) of it in defence of Stanzas.

Yeh those nasty leaf sprung RX3's are pretty 'orrible aren't they? Not like these sweet coil sprung RX2's.

The 1600's are getting thinner on the ground lately, some rally's don't see too many entered, whilst the Stanza is still plentiful. And Davee makes a good point, under PRC you cant put an L20 under the bonnet. This car and trailer are aimed at entry level competitors, and the price is comensurate.
1600's in this country, and in rallysport entertain an almost cult like status, hard to beat by any car. I doubt that you could find a 1600 with or without rally gear for this price.

Hi I have been out of the rally game for a few years but was thinking of getting back into it. Do you have any pictures at all of the car besides the one on your profile pic? Also is the car ready to go or does it need some work before hitting the gravel?

Simmo the car needs a tripmeter, first aid kit and some lights to go rallying at the basic level. Send me your email and I will send you some pics.
