Firstly, I don't know the guy selling the car, but recently spotted it on Trademe (NZ auction site)..

2001 WRX STI RA Rallycar for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand

Works out about $21500 Australian, and based on my own experience of sending a car to OZ shipping would be about $3k Aus..

That makes it a seriously cheap car.. I think we're lucky in NZ though as jap imports are cheaper and easier to get than oz.

While it looks like a version 10, it's a version 7 with a version 10 body panels.

Don't forget customs duty, quarantine and wharf fees, + GST on the whole lot.

I would suggest you wouldn't get too much change out of $30,000 Australian to land it here...which is fine if it was a genuine Version 10 but maybe a bit much for a bugeye hybrid.

I'd be investigating very closely how much has been upgraded under the skin.

this car does not look like a 2001 model it looks 2007 or similar

Answer: as stated it has the full V10 upgrade ,but the shell is a 2001
