AlfaRomeo Alfasud Rally Car Price Drop! $5500 need it gone
Price drop! $5500 need it gone
For sale is my 1980 Alfasud Rally/tarmac car. I've had it for a year and have built it from stock, we've identified and fixed almost everything associated with rallying it and have been able to set some very impresive stage times in it. It is a very exiting and rewarding car to drive with sweet handling compensating for the lack of power.
Specs:
Brand new rebuilt 1500 engine, balanced, ported heads bigger valve springs and rebuilt twin 36 idf webbers (two races old)
Brand new fully rebuilt shorter ratio 1200 box complete with lsd Final drive: 4.11
Full professional built weld in roll cage with door bars
Rally computer (with broken probe)
Sparco sprint seats
RPM 5 point harnesses
King springs all round with bilstein shocks in back unknown in front also come with lower front spings for tarmac
Brand new exhaust from extractors back sounds nice!!
Heavy duty Sump gaurd
WRC-style hydraulic handbrake
5x alfa 14" wheels with khomo rally tyres 40% worn (on car)
4x 14" Chevroit wheels with yoko A048 tarmac tyres 2x 1 rally old 2x 80% worn
cams log book
Plenty of spares including:
1500 engine and gearbox
front and rear suspention parts
radiator
body parts: Bott lid, front+rear windows, bumpers, body kit parts
7 stock wheels
lots of other little bits
I'm after around $7000 for it but any offers will be considered
car is located south of Adelaide. cheers PH: 0447506125

Sorry to go a bit off track but Lewis, it reminds me of this motor. The Flat 12 from when Subaru were looking at F1.

Thats what i like to hear!! there is a few civics getting around more Eg series (the earlier shape that look like a mirage) than the Ek series.. both make great cars with the 1.6 twin cam vtec engine..

Des Collins still has a blue EG series Civic in Adelaide. It's already got a CroMo cage in it and is stripped out and requires drivetrain but you'd get change from what you sell your Alfa for.

Figure this needs a bump up come on guys these are much more fun than an excell, and from memory Bob Morris the touring car driver in his one and only rally in the eighties ran one in the 2GO and was consistently well within the top ten against the likes of BDA's and Murray Cootes L series 1200 coupe until some electrical gremlin struck and that was basically just a standard Alfasud 1500 Ti.Surely someone wants a good entry level pocket rocket.
After all Enzo ferrari used to own one of these and every car manufacturer in the world had one in the R&D department as the benchmark in front wheel drive handling and dynamics, surely someone wants to stand out in the crowd.

Thanks Coxy, finally someone sticking up for the old Alfa!
ATM we are planning to run it in the SARC+SACS this year, but are still looking to sell it at the end of the season. It is also being upgraded to ensure maximum reliablity and speed. So for anyone interested, it will be in rallys+Khanacrosses around SA and as Coxy said it is brilliant fun and this year should be very competitive
Cheers Guy
