this is my 1988 lada samara
the car was originally proffesionally built for lada australia in perth,& was rallied successfully over there, winning p2 several times.
i bought the car from perth in 02,unfortunatly someone had swapped the motor,so i had a lada autosport built 1500 motor built & fitted, did the job well.
got the oppurtunity to get a screaming 1300 motor,so fitted that & went to p1.
this car has won it's class several times as a p1,and has surprised a lot of people what it can do.
now i am selling it,it now has a 1500 lada autosport worked motor fitted, which from memory has only done 1 or 2 events since a refresh.
other list of goodies include:
proflex suspension
low geared 5 speed box with lsd (been told it is a quaiffe box & lsd)
all safety equipment (extinguisher/ok boards/triangles etc)
fire bomb (removed when i got the car,but will include- easy for you to reinstall if required)
2x terraphones fitted (just incase had a mid stage fail)
2x map lights (same reason)
1x terratrip 202 (very accurate) with foot clearer
wired for an extra terratrip 303,but not sold with the car
2 seperate probes
pair of terraphone headsets
adjustable cam timing
helmet net
light bar with 4x piaa lights (90 low/130 high beams) blind spectators at 1,000 metres (brilliant lights) turn night into day.....
harnesses never expire (last time i checked)
workshop manual
parts catalogue (sometimes pictures are better than workshop man.)
log book
reg.has lapsed
around 30+ tyres,most only done 1 event
8 or so on spare rims
near new 2.5" exhaust system
100amp alternator (ea? falcon)
rolling spare shell, caged & painted (cost around $3,000)
as said, motor has done no more than 2 events since refresh
gearbox has only done 2 events since new bearings & synchro's (and these take std.lada bearings & synchros,so these parts are easy to get & are CHEAP)
these cars are VERY VERY cheap to buy parts for & to maintain. (and unfortunatly, very very reliable, even as a std.road car)
unlike the jap & other cars, you don't have to replace balljoints etc.every event.,& you don't have to take stacks of spares to every event.
i have never had to replace a balljoint/tierod end/wheel bearing etc since i have bought this car,& they weren't new when i picked it up,so shows you how strong these are (& people will know how strong the bodies are after the "LITTLE" roll i had in my last samara (which you can see the aftermath on ladaparts.com )
the only reasons i have ever dnf'd in this is through a plug coming off the bottom of the fusebox,& FUEL (lack of) (eh tony)
after or before every event,i had the car trucked to lada autosport at rocklea to make sure everything was 100%
this is a quick car, just a slow driver
this has NEVER failed scrutineering
included is a rolling shell, which has had a proffesionally fitted roll cage, also was newly painted before stored (when i bought this one.) (also rubin red),with white squares painted on doors. (log book)?
from memory, only missing front bumper & front screen
there are spares, but you will probably never have to use them
the only thing we ever really had to do at service was refuel (eh tony) ,never seemed to need anything else done
i have been checking around to see what this might be worth (& shocked at some of the high prices i was given),but am only looking for $5,750
get a good car for the 2011 season
don't hesitate to contact me for any info. or photos
