Yep. Damian: suggest that if/when you feel the need to repeat a call, you clearly say "repeating" then call that same sequence of calls again. Preferably chat beforehand about what sort of calls/circumstances the driver might want a call repeated - it can be very distracting if they're not expecting it.

SA is generally faster/more open/longer straights/less calls than other places. In Canberra you typically have 10-20 calls per km on pacenotes (depending on exactly which forest), so there isn't time to repeat calls even if you wanted to!

Also if there happens to be exactly the same distance and degree/direction of corner twice in a row you call it something like: "6L on C 50, 6L on C 50 again" so the driver knows it is a genuine new/second corner, not just you repeating the same call a second time around.

Cheers Lewis
Say what.....

Will pace notes be available, or will the road book be correct (single sided page of instructions) for those who do not have the means to note, or can't.
I assumed Clubman was blind and SARC was noted.

No you'll need to make your notes or try and find someone to sell/lend you some.. Road book wouldn't be much use as all crews are strongly advised to recce..

Kuitpo clubman is always noted as 1) it's the last round and 2) it let's people cross enter between SARC and clubman as many people do.. Recce is Saturday and rally Sunday.. You may be able to recce the Sunday before if you negotiate with the clerk of course...

noted Lyndall thanks

Good to meet you Lewis

that 200 thru creek twice turned out to be creek 200 creek. doh!

2 flats in first 2 stages, with a stage to go before service, and we only carried 1 spare!

apparently biggest air of the day?

there's a good pic on flickr.com/photos/offwiththepixels/4892617961 (can't work out how to link it) with thanks to Scot Carter

bent the cross member, but not enough to pull out.

and last 2 stages were at night, and on the last stage our lights kept going out every time the brake pedal was pressed. I told Chris not to brake then... cost us 2 spots, but at least we finished

awesome rally, thanks to all involved, apologies to Catie for stealing the thread and making her jealous

oh and sup regs are out for Kuitpo
http://www.kuitporally.com/PDF/2010%...Sup%20Regs.pdf

8.1 ...Reconnaissance by all crews is highly recommended...All crews are advised too that they will be required to complete and sign a reconnaissance disclaimer (at documentation) noting the intent to undertake reconnaissance and use pace notes during the special stages of the rally,

Catie has some part of a clue
I'll forgive you this once Damian...but if Chris needs a codriver for Kuitpo, I shotgun the seat Long story!

Was a great event, bar the horizontal rain for most of the evening! Stages were fantastic (Who's Julia is still my favourite!), crews seemed happy, all in all fantastic.
