Navigator (not just co-pilot) required for Alpine Classic

Senior driver and BMSC stalwart Beb Fox is looking for a genuine "navigator" for the Alpine Classic on 25-26 Sept in his comfy 2.3l Mercedes. Master preferably, but apprentice interest very welcome . This two day 800km all bitumen event starting and finishing in Lithgow includes meals and accommodation and is guaranteed to test the left seat through the western slopes of NSW. Visit classicrallyclub.com.au for details. Call Beb on 02 62951115.

These are good events; attracting the likes of former stars Barry Ferguson, Dave Johnson, Gerry Crown and John Bryson. The navigation is a real challenge, the obscure roads are great fun, and plenty of time is allowed for socialising, all at minimum cost. My wife and I are fronting our AWD Mitsu GTO, a rare chance to give it a serious run.

This may be a great opportunity for someone who quite likes the maps to get back into the sport.
