Stripped Wheel Nuts

I can't get the left front wheel off as three of the wheel nuts are stripped.

I've ruined two 13mm drill bits trying to drill the suckers out.

Any ideas apart from buying shares in a drill bit company?

Well the wheel studs are f*kked anyway so can you
1. take off the brake caliper and then remove the whole hub and wheel?

2. Angle grind a slot in the side of each wheel nut and then split them open with a cold chisel?

Grind a bit of the nut so you can use a cold chisel to tap them loose. Works a treat.

Proper hammer, heavy drift.
Big whack,snap go the studs.
Presuming tapered seat type of course.

If you were to apply pressure to the back of the wheel (pulling/pushing it outwards) you might be able to 'convince' said nuts to resume their outwards journey.
