Supermega Annoying VR4 (Or is that VR$) Question thread!!!

Ok, Ive picked enough Info about these cars to fill a thread... Hi Fly and Matt

So lets make it neat and tidy from now on in case someone else has a question of dubious value.....

Ok.....Todays question , Is it worth switching the VR4 pipework from the 42 Dia pipes and intercoolers to the 51 Dia pipework as the Restrictor and the turbo outlet are much smaller......

Im thinking yes, Mr G OToole is thinking no....

G'day.
I think no.
More volume of air means more mass to move, more friction with the larger internal surface area of pipes. Larger pipes {without lagging} means more surface area to absorb heat from engine bay.
And there is the figure of the 34mm restrictor.
Meeh. It is a dog's breakfast really. Suck it and see...LOL
Cheers
Ross

Its Sunday nite......Is a set of 272 cams too wild for a VR4? Is 264 much better?
Is 11mm of lift enough???? Is it only worth it if I bump up the compression?

Im running the 16g turbo for the record and 510 injectors.... and I only want to run 14psi boost..
