Bottom end rebuild for WRX motor in ACT

Looks like I've done a bearing in my MY02 WRX and will be in need of a full/partial bottom end rebuild and wanted to see if there was anyone people could suggest. The engine is currently standard and at most it might get an exhaust/chip so I'm not after a full on race motor.

I don't have the means to pull the motor out so it will have to be a drive in drive out job. First thought based on good servicing recommendations is Reliance Automotive but I'm even thinking of trying a Subaru dealer given it's a standard job.

Total Traction Services. Will take care of that no problem at all!

billdunn has some part of a clue
Pro Engines in Qbn.

They do a lot of the engine machi9ning and building work for the work shops anyway. TTS can r/r the unit for you, or Pro engines probably can anyway. Reliance, Autotech etc can also r/r the unit. Most of these shops use Pro engines anyway, but give Warren or Greg a call at pro engines, and mention that I recomended them, and that it is for a rally car. These guys are definately motorsport friendly (and mad), and also have a lot of experience on Subarus engines and how to make them hold together.

Thanks for the replies. Upon closer inspection it is just my near new cam belt tensioner that has gone and is resonating a god awful knock through the motor.

That'll learn me for replacing my old but perfectly functioning one just in case. Oh well being less than a year since it was done at least it is covered under warranty.
