Mounting electric brake controllers

I am about to sort out the mounting for the electric brake controller in the new tow car would like to see what other people have done when mounting them. It has to be a removable mount as I don't want it to be in the car all the time. In the old car I made up a mount that replaced the fuse box cover which worked OK, but I know there has to be a better way of doing it, I just can't think of it!

gaz914 got a bit of a rap
I pulled the ashtray out of the Patrol, wrapped a few turns of electrical tape around the controller and wedged it in.
Has been there 6 months now and works well.
Bodgy but effective

Just be careful about the max angle that the unit can be mounted at.
I have seen some mounted such that the sensor "level" can't be adjusted properly and it didn't work.

I like to have the thing within arms reach to be able to use the manual override if req'd, hence the ashtray mounting

cheers
Gaz

The new car doesnt have an ashtray, so there goes that idea! I'm being careful with the angle and making sure it is in easy reach, it always takes a while to adjust from the empty trailer to the full one, so it has to be in easy reach.

I thought I had it sorted but the space I was going to use is too small and I'm trying to avoid hacking up the interior.
