Peltor now in stock
Peltor Helmets and Intercoms are now in stock at prices better than the English suppliers.
Radio Industries is the official Peltor Australian Distributor and don't forget you get full LOCAL WARRANTY and Service.
Now there is no need to risk your funds on internet purchases and pray your Helmet gets here in one piece.
Our company has been around motorsport for years doing Race and Rally Communications. By the way we can interface Radios and Camera systems to Peltor Intercoms as well.
Please call us on 02 4362 7500 or vist our website www.radioindustries.com

Not so much a sponsor plug as an ad.

Bob, are you approved to retrofit HANS posts to existing Peltor helmets? (or if not do you know someone who is?).

HANS Posts
I will check with Peltor if this is possible but I am almost sure Peltor will not approve this and neither will CAMS. I beleive that each helmet with HANS is different to those ones without them.
As I posted on BMSC before I was pinged by CAMS at Bathurst some years ago by drilling a hole for a mic bracket as it can alter the tensile strength of the shell.
Radio Industries is the official Peltor Distributor in Australia and if we cannot do this than no one can.
I will get back to you as soon as I get an answer. Which model Helmet do you have please. ????
Regards
Bob

Hi Bob... pretty sure that the HANS posts can be retro fitted to the G7. That is the advice I received from where I purchased my helmet 5 years ago.
Curious to see what you discover.

Hi Bob,
What's the go with the G-6? $322+GST sounds cheap for a Peltor. Can you confirm that its got a sticker with one of the marks in Sched D? You mention SIS - does it say SIS 88.24.11 (2)?
If so, I'll be ordering soon I'd think.

Hans posts can be retro fitted but you need to do the " Hold the drill at 11' to perpendicular , place toungue in right side of mouth then drill gently" course that Hans runs in churmani 3 times a year

The SIS 88.24.11(2) standard no longer appears in the list in Sched D (at least in my 2006 copy of TBWB.)
Bugger 'cause Ida been interested too, at that price.

Retro Fitting of Peltor HANS Posts
Hi All,
Sorry for the delay. I spoke to the Motorsport Manager of Peltor and he informed me that fitting HANS posts to existing Peltor Helmets can be done, but, must be done by trained autherised Peltor Distributors only.
We are waiting for both the training, tools and posts to be able to do this. The pricing of this fitting will be worked out shortly.
As was posted earlier ALL new orders from Peltor will be shipped with HANS posts. We have 2 small G7 in stock without HANS posts but the rest have HANS.
The new G78 (now being tested by Ford WRC team and others) appears to be fantastic with a new lightweight design and smaller improved microphone.
Please feel free to call me for further info.

G6 Helmet
The G6 is generally used for Go-Kart usage in Europe.
