I'd be interested in your feedback on this system - it looked pretty good when someone sent me a link a few weeks ago. Is it just one camera?

Edge Cameras is now selling the Rally Cam system. We offer 2, 3, or 4 520 TVL bullet cameras. The recorder is a 720 x 480 30fps that holds 2 SDHC cards up to 16 gigs each. The system is powered by the vehicle battery and can record up to 32 hours before changing SD cards. Audio is available from a external microphone, or an RCA cable to plug into your intercom for voice A remote is used to start and stop recording, and the quad processor is also able to change views with a remote so there is no need to open the case during the race. Systems come with all editing software and cables to download video to your computer to burn to disk or put on internet.

It's one lipstick style camera connected with one cable to the recording unit. The POV.1 is a fantastic unit. I've used it at Classic Adelaide and Lake Mountain sprint and it just ran all day. The picture qulaity is great and it's really easy to use. I connect the audio directly to the intercom. I reckong the best thing is the lack of cable clutter and the wireless remote.

The POV units are great. We have been using them and elmo's for the past 2 years in various Evo's and WRX's (SARC state championship winning vehicles).

Hard drive units will sadly ultimately fail from the shock and vibration. I have experience with over 300 of these where this has been encountered. Solid state is the only way to go.

Even in buses, the HD units ultimately fail with that big soft air suspesion!
