Little i - Wheel Probes, tripmeters

I've now keep a small stock of nice wheel probes.

*M8x1
*Indicator led on back
*connector on back of probe
*5m cable with right angled connector
*3 wire
*2.5mm range

These are much easier to fit than the 13mm units. Just drill and thread. Easy to adjust simply as you can watch the LED as you adjust it. Quality connector on the back makes it simple to disconnect it to avoid cable damage when stripping the suspension.

Currently $100

I am stocking some 12 V LED self adhesive strips.

Great for internal lighting on a Rally car. Work fine inside the car, and so far seem able to cope with under bonnet temperatures too. Since they are so small you could stick them to the inside of doors, boot and bonnet so they shine on the outside of the car.

We even use one as the nav map light, stuck to the roof above the Nav's head, it does not give that annoying flashes when a normal one bounces around.

$4 each.

Unlike the picture below, the strip is cut to have 3 LEDs only, and has waterproof plastic coating.

I will second the LED's work a treat after using them for BRM

stuck to roof above my head didn't have the issue of not being about to see a part of the road book and the light never moved around.

A piece of paper stuck to the roof to stop direct light getting to the drivers eyes works well

And will most likely be putting some on the rally car shortly

I'm out of stock at the moment, but can quickly get some more.

Drawings attached, note that the probe connector is the same diameter as the connector, unlike the one in the picture.

The plugs I had are 90deg, but next time I'd probably order straight ones. The 90deg ones can be a pest when its cramped as you might not be able to set the probe to exactly where you want.

Next batch I will be looking to find ...
- shielded cables
- slightly shorter probe bodies

Good price for the LED's.

Look fully sik as under car lighting - stick a strip in a clear PVC tube under the car. (be interesting to see how long it lasts)

Oh I can get then in Red LED's too for those who like the better nightvision option.

I'm out of stock. I can't compete with RallyNuts prices (well unless I find a OS supplier)

However they do work fine. 5v variety are more convenient in a Monit though.

After a few 'wiring incidents' I would probably go for 2 wire probes which are more tolerant of wiring errors.
